How many events do you host a year?
We will be hosting 8 weddings in the 2022 season. The 8 weekend dates include XXXXX
What is the rental price and what is included?
The fees are broken up into two parts, the estate fee and lodging fees. To book Borden Estate for a wedding you must book the Mansion and Stone House for 2 nights minimum, and pay for the Estate Rental.
Estate Rentals:
$17,000 | Estate fee for 2 events
+$2,000 | Theater for an event, $1,000 an hour past midnight, cut off of 2am
+ $1,500 | To add Sunday brunch and overtime if load out (other than rentals) extends beyond 1pm
+ $5,000 | For an additional day for setup on Thursday, up to 10 hours
Lodging Rentals
$4,000 | Night for The Mansion (2 night minimum)
+$1,500 | Night for The Stone House (2 night minimum)
+ $1,500 | Night for Bunk House (2 night minimum)
How many guests can spend the night?
Borden Estate has three buildings with accomodations, two must be booked for events, The Mansion and Stone House. The Mansion has 18 bedrooms and 10 Bathrooms. The Stone House has 3 Bedrooms and 3 bathrooms as well as two attached cottages, one has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and the other has one bedroom and 2 bathrooms. There is also the Bunk House, which has XXXX bedrooms with XXX bunk beds and XXX bathrooms. This can be booked for guests or vendors.
What time is guest check in and check out?
Check in is 2pm Friday and Check out is 12pm Sunday. Early Check in and Late Check out can be added for additional fees based on availability and the requested times.
Can we grill outside?
Yes you can, as long as you do not cause any damage to the landscape and as long as the grill is at least 100 feet from any structures.
Is Smoking Allowed?
There is absolutely no smoking inside allowed, vaping is also not allowed inside. If smoking is detected there will be a $350 smoking fee per room it is smelled in.
Do you have floor plans?
We work with Allseated to help create floor plans accurate to our spaces. Your wedding planner and or caterer should be able to create floor plans for you, we have some samples we are happy to share.

You can use candles as long as they are
Tours
We schedule tours by appointment only, there are no drop in visits allowed. You can email info@bordenestate.com for a tour.
Onsite Staff
Borden Estate will have one property manager on-site for your event weekend, they are not your wedding planner and they will not manage your event schedule, they will be there to work with the caterer and planner and answer any and all questions they may have.
Who cleans the space(s)?
Your caterer and or florsit/decorator will be responsible to clean up all spaces they used, everything they bring in must go out, there is no dumpster on-site.
Exclusivity
Is there more than one event a weekend on property? We host one event and or group on property per weekend. The weekend begins Friday and ends Sunday.
Sound Restrictions
There are no sound ordinances in the town, but we are respectful of our neighbors so all amplified music must end by Midnight.
Is there a coat check?
There is not, but your caterer can provide this if you would like it.
HVAC
The Mansion and Stone House have heating and air conditioning.
Fire Place
There are multiple fireplaces on property, you are able to use them as long as the flu is open, there is a wood charge of $300.
Where does the ceremony take place?
There are multiple beautiful outdoor options for your ceremony to take place, there is also a theater that is great for ceremonies and for intimate ceremonies the first floor of the Mansion is great.
Is there a getting ready room?
There are a couple of options for spaces to get ready, large rooms in The Mansion and Stone House work well, and the Library located next to the Stone House is another great option.
Is there a sound system available?
There is not, your band and or DJ can provide on or multiple, as needed.
Can I set up a day early?
You can for an additional fee.
Can I drop off items early?
You can for an additional fee.
Do you offer Housekeeping?
We do not offer housekeeping for the rooms.
Do you provide Soaps and Shampoo/Conditions?
We sure do, the bathrooms include Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash.
Internet?
There is internet in The Mansion and Stone House. We are on 200 acres so the internet is not super strong, but it is available to guests staying overnight.
Valet -
You can hire valet if you like, it is not included.

Event Timing
Typical weddings are 6 hours long, with 5 hour bars. 1 hour for arrival and ceremony, 1 hour for cocktails and 4 hours for dinner and dancing. We do not allow open bars beyond 6 hours.
Can I use the Piano in The Mansion?
You sure can, if you want it tuned it costs XXX
Can I have heat and or AC in the tents?
You sure can, the tents would then need sidewalls to retain the heat or AC. Adding temperature control to tents can add up, but is possible from the tent company.
Setup & Vendor Info
Tents - Can begin setup Thursday morning and have to be out XXX Sunday or Monday?
Vendors - Can begin loading in on Friday at 10am, and must be fully broken down, packed up and loaded out Sunday by XXXpm.
Power - There is no power for tented celebrations, a generator must be brought in.
Restrooms - There are not enough restrooms for tented weddings, portable restrooms trailers must be brought in, they should come with water as there is not a nearby water source.
Garbage - There are no garbage containers for events, so everything brought in, must be brought out.
Parking - There is an open field perfect for guest parking, It can hold XXX vehicles.
Vendor Insurance - Every vendor must provide a Certificate of insurance in order to work on the property.
Client Insurance - Every client must provide liability insurance to protect themselves and their guests. You can also acquire insurance via http://privateeventinsurance.com or http://wedsafe.com
Wedding Planners - No wedding planner is included in the space rental, each couple must hire their own wedding planner, at least a month of / day of coordinator to manage load in, the event production as well as breakdown.
Who provides rentals - You can work with any rental company to provide tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glassware, kitchenware, etc. The venue does not provide any rentals for events.
Tenting - Tenting is the best way to accommodate large events and weddings on the property, there are two preferred locations for large tents. Tents can also be utilized on the rear terrace of the Mansion and on the blue stone patio of the Stone House.
Events inside the mansion - You can host events inside the mansion on the first floor and your caterer is welcome to use the kitchen for food prep and service. They may use the refrigerators, the oven and stove, the dishwasher is off limits.
